well i think Alyssa may have a touch of thrush. the sides of her tongue are a bit white even when she hasnt had any milk for a while and my poor nipples are really sensitive and have a funny patch on them thats like whiteish dead looking skin. gonna have to book a docs app on monday

Defo thrush babe get some canesten from ur pharmacy (same as vaginal thrush) use it as often as u can u don't have to wash it off before feeding either.. This is what the doc will prescribe you... Make sure u get treatment for ur LO too ASAP at the docs (pharmacy don't sell this) or it will be passed back and forth. Get treatment ASAP as when it goes into ur milk ducts it's agonizing!!

Wss ^ Ignore the instructions saying use 3 times a day as I found that pants and apparently it only takes 90 mins for thrush to grow. Use after every feed!

Make sure u change ur pads v regularly and wash ur bras and anything else that comes into contact with u or baby's mouth on a high heat.. New dummies and teats etc if u use them too just to be sure..

cool thanks ladies, i have thrush cream in my bedside drawer, not canasten but same dorta thing prescribed by doc for thrush during pg so i'll use that

omg im such a divvy. i didnt even think but ive just realised ive been sticking her dummy in my mouth when ive needed a hand or whatever. totally automatic but now ive thought about it my tongue has been all weird and tingly so cue the corsodyl mouthwash too for me lol.

i wouldnt mind but id just got past the terrible painful nips from bf. now theyre all sore again for another reason. feeding is like being stabbed with knives....
paracetamol needed just to feed baby, sucky timing body lol

Yeah it's horrid we had it three times! Keep using the creams etc for a few days after at least so it is 100% gone!
