this flu

    iv had the xmas flu for a few weeks and spent all over xmas including xmas day in bed, anyways im down to just a cough and a rattling chest now which is really painful and makes it difficult ti breathe especially in bed has anyone got any ideas what i can do appart from go to GP which is last resort to shift it?

    Have you tried steam vapours? I always finds it helps to loosen things. A few drops of olbas or karvol in the bowl make it even more effective. I was told to sleep sitting upright a bit but it isnt always possible.

    Ive had it since xmas morning, everything has more or less gone apart from this damn cough...........
    the doctors reckon its gonna take 3 weeks to shift it, so I was told by mil

    lemsip/decongestants? i'm at the same stage as you and vary between a lemsip tablet and cough medicine.
