I'd varnish on both my finger and toe nails! Midwives never said a thing and I was never told otherwise but in saying that it was a last minute decision to get into the pool lol. My "pool" was actually an oversized household bath in the maternity unit if that makes any difference! Xx

Yeah no one has mentioned the no toe nail polish thing to me even though I've discussed my ok plans for a water birth a few times. Can't imagine they'd spring it on you when you turn up in the throes of labour either lol maybe some hospitals are funnier about it than others?
