Evening all,
Someone I know just posted this on Facebook.
I hope you won't mind me saying MrsMc but it made me think of your Vlog and the horrible things people said to you after your MC...
I haven't experienced MC personally and I hope and pray I won't have too.
My Mum unfortunately lost a baby at full term about 6 years ago though (she fell pregnant by total accident at 45 and unfortunately baby Billy didn't make it), and I could see her devastation. It was so consuming and I know she has never really gotten over it.
As this article says, MC has such connotations attached to it and some people just don't seem to realise the devastation losing a baby (at whatever term) can bring.
Just thought I'd share:

my sister has had 7 miscarriages over 3 years. her last one a year ago, was at 5 months 3 weeks and was dreadfull she still isnt over this now its horrible to hear about and i know its a lonely time and there seems to be no end to the pain.

Thankyou for that link Jen, I am going to show my Husband tomorrow.
Like you I hope and pray that I will never have the devestation of experiecing a mc but it is comforting to those who have done to know they are not alone.

That's a really good article - and absolutely spot on. Some of the comments written about it are horrible. Its amazing how many people don't 'get' it, which is why we never told anyone about losing our baby. I could imagine their reactions - 'never mind', 'what's the big deal?' etc etc and couldn't handle the situation being made to sound insignificant.
I'm a writer in my spare time and have written a short story about my experience, I'm hoping to get it published somewhere one day to help other women realise they aren't alone.
My heart goes out to poor Lilly Allen - who is probably being hounded by the press, poor thing xx

Just read this =i tend to think that if people havent experience a miscarriage or known someone who has whether that be in person or how us guys know each other they just dont get it xox
