almost 4 months into pregnancy and now im getting scared of giving birth!! am no good with pain and i really dont wanna have a c section..any advice?

Just go with it. Seriously, worrying is not going to get you anywhere but down. I got myself in a right old tiz with my first, and I had a very short and lucky labour. No, that's not always the case, but worrying about it for months and picturing the worst case scenario will only make you more tense and scared. The big bit of advice I can give you before labour is when the contractions start, KEEP BUSY. Mine started at 5am the morning before I gave birth, but luckily I was going to see family that day. We went shopping, for lunch, watched films etc, the whole time me having twinges, and by the time I left them in the evening I had been so distracted that I didn't end up going into hospital until midnight- she was born at 2:15am! The midwives told me there's nothing worse for a woman in labour than getting into hospital too early, and having to turn around and go back home again.

Bexybun is right, try not to worry, esp with so long still to go, the more relaxed and chilled you are about it the more your body can get on with what it's designed to do. If it helps I had a quick 4 hour labour with my daughter and got by with a tens machine, there are lots of horror stories but lots of good ones too. This time I want to try hypnobirthing it sounds really positive and will help to relax. Just remember there are loads of drugs out there to help get through the pain, worst case you can have an epidural and feel nothing! There's no medals out there for a drug free labour! Be open minded and think about the wonderful baby at the end of it x

i would love my labour to be like that!! ive already decided that im not going to hospital when it starts until i feel i really need to but thats just coz i dont like hospitals too much.. hopefully things will go smoothly and no complications then i'll be happy :)

I can highly recommend epidural.... Unfortunately for me my hospital here does not offer one so gonna try pool. I agree try not to worry, I admit my labour was 36 long hours but Im not worrying about this time, really! Gas and air is fun, I held onto it like my life depended on it! Lol
