tax credits on maternity leave?

how does it work? will my wtc go up or stay the same? my matnity pay will be about 450 a month, and the fella earns 13k a year

They told me that come april my wtc will drop cos in that yr baby will turn 1, but when they ask in june/ july for ur figures off p60, it will increase after then because they take off the maternity pay, so u get £124 per wk for 39 weeks and the figure of this (sorry on my phone n my maths isnt that good) lol they take off this figure from ur yearly income so ur figures of what they pay will increase,

yeah they told me they count any extra your company pays you, but not the SMP value.
They are stopping thhne baby under 1 extra thing in april 4th, but he couldn' tell me if it was stopping for all or just new claims or if it would carry on for babies already claiming it until they get to 1, eg Devon will be 3 mths then, if you know what I mean.
