I'm so fed up with bleeding I've decided to try tampons but omg, very very uncomfortable!

I'm nearly 8 weeks pp.

Is it normal to feel this uncomfortable wearing them after birth? I've never had a problem before!

I wouldn't think you should wear a Tampon just yet lovely as it is unlikey to stop the bleeding.

I'm not sure. I stopped bleeding at about 4 and a half weeks. It restarted at week 5 & MW did tell me I could wear tampons but didn't brave it. Stopped bleeding for a few days and now it's restated. It feels like my period again?

I'm surprised your MW said it was ok to use them so soon. My PP bleeding stopped and started again so I continued with pads. My LO is 6 months old a d my period has returned, I used tampons last month but they were very uncomfortable at first. I put it down to everything changing shape etc! Felt like the first time I used them as a teenager!

I'm 5 weeks PP and got my period two days ago

I asked could I use tampons and was told to wait a month or two just to be on the safe side with infections xx

I'm not trying again for a while. It does feel like starting all over again! Just so fed up with bleeding & HV not returning my calls so I can't ask!

I used tampons with my AF at 8/9weeks pp.
I gave up after 2 days!! I was on for 2 weeks, heavier than my after birth bleed!! Tampon was soaked within 10mins!! So i use the maternity pads cos it was so heavy!!

But the tampon was also cery uncomfortable! It was like my cervix was really low and in the way!! Xx
