You could be coming down with a cold or an ear or throat problem. I had glandular fever as a teen and ever since my glands are my warning sign when I'm run down and for when I'm going to get ill. I guess all you can do is hope you don't get too poorly, but it is probably something as simple as that. Hope you feel better soon
I have been sneezing a lot the last couple of days. And my daughter was under the weather on sunday. I assumed it was teething. Perhaps she picked up something in nursery. Being ill in pregnancy really scares me!
hey hun, i had glandulafever at 8 weeks pregnant, was taken into hospital for a week...and bubba is fine so if you just have a bit of a cold coming on your LO will be ok xx
Don't panic. I've already had a severe ear and throat infection and a viral infection in my hand. I had to antibiotics for my ear and had nothing for my hand (refused to even take paracetamol after the amount I had to take with my ear and it never works for it anyway!). Although the thought of taking anything is horrible, you'd be surprised by the amount of medication that is safe in pregnancy, get the GP to show you a BNF (their medicine bible so to speak) and show and explain what it says if your worried what they are giving you, if they have to give you anything
I was really really unwell at 6 weeks. Raging temp, diarrhoea and vomiting, headaches, shivers, throat puss (nice), the lot!
Lo will be fine. Take paracetamol if you need, lots of fluids and rest xx
Don't worry, I was ill throughout my 2nd pregnancy and my LO was fine. Your body will protect LO before anything else. I had no immunity whatsoever. I had 7 colds, 2 back to back, then 5 back to back, no joke like a 2 week break max between each cold. I also had a kidney infection and also pneumonia and was in hospital with both of those but all throughout my baby was absolutely fine.
