I was at the docs on tues, they had signs up saying people will be invited from next week. So I asked the doctor and she said they have 500 doses coming in, pregnant women are one of the priority groups but are lower than some of the others, and that they won't even have enough to all the priority groups, so it could still be weeks and weeks before I'm offered it xx

I know this isn't pg related but my kids (also an at risk group ) have got their letters to make appointments. Girls I would contact your own dr's but I know here the funding has only been released for the jabs on the at risk groups :)

I bugged the shit outta my Dr at first....they know about at much as we do....nada.....they said they are expecting their first lot at the end of this month. :/

We got our first lot yesterday, must actually make the appointments tomorrow xx

think i might ring up tomorrow n ask! guessing ur getting it lisa??

i've not heard anything, when i was in 3 weeks ago i think it was there was a sign saying they'd be getting them in soon, but all the meetings about it had been cancelled :dohh:

i'm not bothering tho, i've only got a couple of weeks left, so it doesnt seem worth it, especially with such a new vaccine...i could be hit by a bus crossing the road tomorrow...

Probably not TBH Zara. My GPs said they dont expect to be giving it out till early - mid December. Well given that we finish for Xmas on the 16th till the 4th Jan then I only have 6 days to work till mat leave, I'm not going to bother. If they said I could have it next week and I could have the Celvapan one then yeah, I'd take it. :)

I still don't know whether to have it! And my doctor was no use because she wouldn't give me her opinion xx

My 7 year old got a letter asking him to go in some time after the 16th nov for his (he has asthma). I see my MW on thursday so i will ask her about a jab for me then. I was in 2 minds as to whether to get it or not as i assume with it being a new drug they might not know how it will affect an unborn baby, but i read that quite a few pregnant woman have died of the virus due to the immune system being suppressed during pregnancy. At the end of the day i have 2 kids already that i have to consider, so after weighing up the options i am going to take the jab if its offered to me xx

Well my surgery are now saying they are vaccinating from the start of next week......

I think if I can have the Celvapan next week then I'll take it......hmmmmm......and I thought I'd done with all this thinking....meh

ahhh thats right, there are 2 aren't there. I hear the one starting with P is the one to avoid.......is that right? xx

Yep. Pandemrix. The WHO say it's fine thought but they had been saying that the Celvapan (adjuvant free version) was preferred so I'd decided I wanted that one or I'd take my chances......

Good luck with your decision. I am not swayed 100% either way but at the moment it looks like i will get it xx

I got mine 2 weeks ago, I was offered it through my local maternity though not my doctor.. Very quick, literally in and out
