sure start grant...how long?

I didnt think for a minute I would be able to apply for this sure start maternity grant, but just had my tax credits claim confirmed and they are giving me quite a bit of cash! Which according to the references I have read will hopefully mean I can get the mat grant. Ive filled it all in and sent it off this morning, but just wondering if anyone else has applied for this, how long did it take till you found out? And more to the point, how long till you got the money? Thanks ladies

i had a letter back within 2 weeks saying i could have it and the money was in my bank a few days after
