I'm aware that if you're on a low income or un-employed, you are qualified for this grant.

I know you can claim from 29 weeks, but does anyone know how long they take to actually issue a payment?

i applyed for mine friday so i will let you know when mines comes :)

I think the only way i'll get it is once i've have bubs and am on SMP then that'll be classed as a low income and hopefully i'll qualify for it then, as i don't at the moment, although the help would be excellent.

I posted the letter on a friday and the money was in my bank the following friday.

That's what I'm having to do, I work full time at the mo so don't qualify until after bubs arrives.

It's a pain in the bum really, when they know we are gonna be on a low income soon enough anyways!!
