I'm 7 weeks and feel so rough. I have spent the entire weekend horizontal either sleeping or feeling nauseous. I feel totally debilitated and shocked as I had virtually no symptoms with my last one. I'm 39 maybe you get it worse as you age?
Any tips to get me through a day would really help.
Thanks!

aww, im sure it will get better hun, i havent been so unlucky, i just get nausea if i eat anything really fatty or greasy or im too hungry.

aww no mones just statred now at 15 weeks....I didnt expect that. Dont let yourself get too hungry and eat little and often. I totally know how you feel

Hi hun,

 It can be tough feeling nauseous all day so I feel for you. Apparently drinking more fluids and keeping hydrated helps. I found ice in drinks helped a wee bit. Try to eat something frequently as well, I know easier said than done when you feel sick, but I think it keeps it at bay.

Boiled water, put in a piece of Ginger, let it cool then remove Ginger and drink x

Just nibble healthy snacks or veg all day long, If I did this I never got the nausea (well rarely), if left empty of food past about 1 hour, I would feel sick, sure t must be something to do with stomach acid not having anything to work on or something like that. sugersnap peas, self podding peas, carrot sticks, grapes, little bits of cheese and grapes (cheese lasted me longer), saved me running for loos at work without people rumbling me....

Oh and try to not have a drink at same time as food, leave it 20 mins after food , then drink

cold drinks avoid dairy or citrus food early in day. ive been nibbling melba toast and drinking blackcurrant and apple dilute juice. Watermelon to nibble on helps as does chewing gum and mints.

im sick 3 -4 times a day and have meds from doc but i find keeping busy and occupied helps as does a cool breeze like a fan.

Take a couple of ginger biscuits to bed with you, or get your OH to get you some in the morning before you get up. And eat just one or two in bed, even if you feel sick. It may not work for everyone but defo worked wonders for me so maybe worth a try :)
Hope you feel better soon
xx

Tic tacs have been my life saver - i suck on one our two if i feel nausea kickin in - sometimes its constant.

I also tried ginger tea, eating a couple of tea biscuits before i got out to bed. Personally i found sucking on a square of chocolate before i got up was better - but it had to be SUCKED not chewed.

I also got the anti sickness bands from chemist - like for travel sickness - didnt think they made much of a difference - but boy do i feel it when i take them off.

Theres loads of remedies out there - I just kinda worked my way through a few of them till i found one that suited - for me its definitly the tic-tacs!!

hope you feel better soon.

Hi there I find eating little and often, sea bands (work on pressure pulse points of wrists) sipping lemonade and eating gingernut biscuits and sucking on a mint,I did try chewing gum but it made me gag. Fruit also has to be little and often else it seems to go the other way straight thru at moment these pregnancy things are really annoying I'm extra tiered at moment the. Soon as I get to bed....can't sleep. So annoying! U aren't alone X
