This is all great info - this time around I may have to have a C Seaction as the placenta is lying low and if stays this way the baby cannot be delivered normally. It will be decided after 34 weeks and to be honest really makes me feel nervous.
My last baby was Pre Term and born at 32 weeks. He was healthy but was in the special care for two weeks just to make sure his lungs were developed and to get him feeding correctly. The staff were lovely and we visited twice a day for as long as we wanted. We didnt get to hold him for the first couple of days as he was all wired up and yes this was hard but was able to be touch trough wee openings in the incubator. After this I was allowed to change him, dress him and when he started to bottle feed this as well (first few days were by drip). I left the hospital a 5 days and too be honest it was so hard going home without him but he came home about a week later. The day before we brought him home we stayed in a special family room in the hospital with him and it was as if you were at home but if any difficulties could buzz the nurses, it just got us used to having a baby and what to do with him (find out if your hospital has this). This was 8 years ago and trust me you would never know he came early he is a normal, larger than life 8 year old!! Hope this info helps xx
