I have been using OPK's and had a faint positive line yesterday so we BD last night and I havent checked OPK today but I now have slight cramps in my lower tummy like AF is about to arrive but she REALLY not due yet. Not had this before without AF arriving, could it be ovulation cramps or something????

just tested with OPK and still only a faint line ??????

hey hun!
A faint line on a OPK is not a positive. It HAS to be as dark OR darker than the control line.
We release LH throughout our cycle so the faint line is just pickin up those little hormones darting everywhere.
Its only wen we have a definate positive OPK that we have surged.

So keep BDing if u like....the more the better i suppose! But sounds like ur opk has not yet picked up the surge (to show u will be ovulating in the next 24-48 hours) yet.

PS: I cramp throughout my cycles.
Highly annoying as never do know whats happening but our bodies are strange and CRAZY!!
xx

Hiya! I thought the faint line yesterday would mean a positive today which is why we BD last night but just tested and it's still faint, couldnt understand the cramps if not AF yet (not due) and no OV, glad it's not unusual!! I never really have the same cycle from month to month which is why I have started using OPK's, should be ov either now or in a few days depending on what cycle my body decides to run on this month so I thought a BD last night would cover all bases and maybe try again every other night for the next week :)

Thanks for your advice. I wondered as I am only using cheap OPK's if the positive line HAS to be as dark as the control line but I guess it does :(

Hiya,

I use cheap OPKS too & mine always nearly have a faint line. I started testing this cyle on CD10 & it stayed as a faint line (therefore negative) until CD19 when it was darker than the test line. Then it went faint again (since then I have had a few random positive surges, still dont know what thats about but thats a different story/thread haha). So keep doing them daily & hopefully you shoiuld experience a positive OPK soon!! xx
