omg i wish i hadnt of read this post

Awwww don't worry hun  What I forgot to mention was that while I was getting stitched up I had my baby lying on my chest and it made it all so worth while :D

I had local anaesthetic - I am needle phobic but didn't care after the birth and to be honest it was pretty numb down there anyway!

The stitching didn't hurt AT ALL after labour :rotfl:

I only had gas and air in labour, and then a local anisthetic and gas and air for the stictching. Mine took a couple of hours and the local was wearing off and I struggled towards the end. I could feel the stitches going through which was really weird. You forget about it all though when you have your little bundle lying on you.

dont panic pregnant people! you might not even need stitches! ive given birth twice and not needed any

   's for all you guys with stitches too, sounds sore!

am i the only one who didn't really feel it?
i felt a slight sting at the most from the injection.

same here, I was chatting to my mate while they stitched me up

I had no pain releif for the birth and they wouldnt do sitches without so i had a numbing injection. I didnt feel a thing, it was nothing to worry about at all. DIdnt get any pain at all afterwards friom stitches either, i asked at my six week check where they were as i could :rotfl: never feel them.

I had a 2nd degree tear and I used the gas and air whilst they stitched me up, took ages tho :wall:

Felt the needle, only felt like a pinprick..I had it before they performed an episiotomy. I didn't feel the pain of the stitching, it just felt like she was sewing my bum together

Had a 2nd degree tear but barely felt a thing when the doctor was stitching me,,, it was more weird and stingy than truly painful (especially after horrible contractions  ),,, I was too much concentrated on what all these people were doing with my baby anyways
The stitches never really hurt afterwards, just feeling very stretched for a couple of days and a bit uncomfy when sitting but no big deal 8)
I have to admit that I can't even tell where they were exactly...
