Hi

You can buy perenuim ice packs from mothercare, they are really good! Send someone out to get you some

thanks hun xxxxxxx
hes poping down there tomoz morn for me xxxxxxxxxxx

iv heard salt baths work, i dont kno as i didnt try it mine werent that bad. theres some herb my mw was going on about i forgot what its called sorry!

I had a salt bath every night for the first 2 weeks but i started to feel loads better 'down there' at about 10 days. Sometimes if i stood up fir too long i would feel a bit of pressure on my stiches bet it wasnt that bad to be honest

my midwife told me to buy some lavender oil and put that in the bath - its supposed to help with healing in some way or another and relax you - i loved it so much - i swore by it! I had one every day.

Tea tree oil is also another good one.

I agree that lavendar oil is good too.

It is reallyw orrying when it's so new; I remember being scared to cough, sneeze, pee etc but you will be fine hun. Just take it easy

I had a third degree tear and took the strongest dose of arnica tablets 3 times a day and also had a bath morning and night with drops of lavender oil in which both helped.

It's best to fill the bath about 10cm with warm water and put in plenty of lavender oil. I also found that if i wore a sanitary towel rather than a maternity pad it made my stitches more sore. To say the tear was so bad i really wasn't that uncomfortable but i was dosed up on really strong prescribed pain killers

I had an episiotomy and after the manual removal of my placenta, I had 3rd degree tears inside and some 2nd degree outside... I had loads of stitches...and cos they were done in theatre they were really tight..

Salt baths everyday and sometimes twice a day are the best thing going... You can try lavender oil, to sooth and calm the area, tea tree oil, to cleanse and sterilise the area and sometimes, from some specialist stores you can get arnica oil... which is the best for reducing the swelling.

I promise it doesn't take that long to get better...

I was cut too, had loads of stitches inside and out, but I did nothing as I knew nothing  healed within about a week

I was told not to sit on comfy cushions as it will only make the healing take longer  My episiotomy stitches seemed to heal straight away, I was more sore internally, I took a salt and lavender oil bath every night and aired my bits everynight too, get your legs in the air hehe :D Hope you feel much better real soon, very best wishes

The hospital gave me witch hazel home for my stitches. You keep it in the fridge then soak your pad in it every time you change. I have to say this gave me great relief and because it was cold it eased any burning sensation and I healed fairly quickly.

Loads of air....work out how you're going to do this yourself

lavender oil definately and move as normally as possible - it sounds weird, but sometimes I think some of the pain comes because you move so carefully and deliberatly that when you do move normally, you're almost stretching it all over again..iykwim :?
