thanks everyone for your replies,i asked the MW today if she would examine me as by looking down there myself it does not look right,she told me some of my stitches have come out on the top layer 
the notes she wrote in my postnatal care plan say;
"PERINEUM"-tender today,on examination - vaginal wall and muscle layers intact,but skin layer gaping-area of red granulation tissue visable"
she is coming to check me again on wednesday to see how things are healing,not sure what will happen if it does not get better,hope i do not need more stitches
really want to try the salt baths but scared now as its so raw in case it hurts!
