When does everyone intend to stop sterilising bottles! I know what the guidlines are but Henry is over 6 months now, putting everything in his mouth and it seems to defeat the purpose!

Im going on holiday in June and LO will be 10 months and by that time Im just going to be washing her bottles and then rinsing them with boiling water by then. By Ill stop doing that at 12 months. Im actually stopping her having a bottle in the morning and only having her milk in a bottle at night soon.

What are the actual guidelines now? I thought it was 6 months, but just because of what my son is like, I still do. Hes 8 months. Is it a year then?

I havent got a clue what the guidelines are lol, I kind of abandoned guidelines when LO was about 4 weeks old lol. Maybe a year....but I remember hearing something about 6 months too. Im really not sure!

I kind of make it up as I go along. I think its because formula can hold more bacteria. I dont strerilise anything else of hers i.e. beakers ect, its only for her milk.

I thought it was a year?? I'm sure I stopped earlier with my eldest, by 5 years seems like ages ago and I can't remember!
I also can't remember when I started giving him his milk in a beaker?? Any ideas when the best age is??

I only sterilize stuff that's had milk in, I don't bother trying to sterilize toys/dummies etc any more, unless they get dropped somewhere really filthy!
