Hi
Just a quick update. i saw the anthetist (cant spell) last week. and he tells me that the reason why i was sick during the spinal block would have been because my bp dropped quickly. so he said that they can give me something that would keep my bp up and that would stop the sickness.
he has also told me that the increase in temperature would be due to my hormones and there was nothing that they could do for that.
He checked my spine and said that there wasnt any problems that he could see for inserting the needle successfully first time. he has also written in my notes that one of the two consultants should do my spinal block due to past bad experiences. he said that this would not guarantee anything if there was an emergency elsewhere. But at least it has answered a couple of my questions.
if you have any worries or concerns, it is really worth speaking to you mw, as mine has helped enormously. not to worried about the operation now.
xx
