My step mum claimed back her PPI through a company last year and after mentioning I paid PPI on a previous loan, she urged me to ring them.

Now i'm very weary of these companies so tend to give them a VERY wide birth but thought, seeing as though someone I know has had success, i'd give them a call.

They said they'd send a claims pack and true to their word it arrived a few days after my initial call. I put off filling it in for a while and they kept posting new packs and calling to get me to fill it in. In the end I sent it just after Christmas. All they wanted was my name, address and old Loan ref number.

I've just called them today and they've told me i've got a settlement of £1223.16
I was in shock! lol! They take a cut of £366.95 but £850-odd is brilliant! The loan had been paid off for a year also.

I've mentioned in another thread about the possibility of going to Spain. Our budget was a little tight so it was going to be a struggle but not anymore!!

Definitely recommend using them for any claims. A lot of places take 40%+ for claims but these guys only take 25%. http://www.ppiclaimcompany.co.uk

This is gonna sound really stupid but does the loan have to still be unsettled? We paid off a loan last year and was paying PPI I'm sure. Also got one now but don't know wether we are paying it or not.....

No, I claimed on a loan that's been paid off a year :-D Give them a call and see what they say x

Tash, I've got a loan at the moment, in arrears by a bit coz I'm broke. I had ppi, but cancelled the ppi about 2 years ago.. They didn take it off my repayment amount coz they said they recover that first...
How do u qualify to reclaim it? Like what makes it miss sold?

I think mis-sold is if you didn't, need, want or ask for it I heard that on tv anyway x

I'd definitely give them a call, and send off the forms. Worst they can say is no. When they sold me the PPI they just kept asking all these q's about how I would afford the repayments if I lost my job, was sick, or died(!)
My Mum claimed (through a different company) and the bank used the money to pay her arrears before giving her it so she didn't end up with much, lol!
Might be worth asking if they'd do that?

I wish Id been missold PPI so I could get a bit of cash lol. I got about £200 odd from bank charges.
