sooo disapointed.....

iv just got my early scan through 4 the 3rd of november but i will be 11+4 soo not exactly early...but my worry is last time when i was pregnant i had a scan at 10+5 and baby was ok soo they cancelled my 12 week scan .....then when i was around 16 week i started to bleed a little. they scanned me and told me my baby had stopped growing at 11 weeks soo 2 days after scan ...and if they wud of still gave me my 12 week 1 i wudda nown sooner and to top it all of i had to wait a week before i had the d&c nowing that my baby had gone was the worst feeling in the world and i really really dont want to go thru this agen. and now its happened agen ill b 11+4 soo later then last time but its still not that 12 week mark i wanted to get passed .... plz tell me what u guys think if im being unreasonable.

i'd ask for another scan at 13 weeks if you can get one cas of what happeded last time, so sorry about your loss

Aw i totally understand why you would feel that way, its not unreasonable at all. Why dont you call the hosp and ask if you can move it back a week if you'd feel appier to have it passed 12 weeks? When i saw my MW the 1st time and told her id had a missed miscarriage b4 she was really accomodating and put a note to the hospital that i wanted the scan asap as i was worrying so im sure they will try to help you? Try not to worry yourself though i know its easier said than done.xx

I don't think you are being un-reasonable i'd mention it to ur midwife and see what she thinks!

Where are you having the scan? is it the LRI or the LGH? im at the general and was suppose to have a urgent scan due to me not being sure on my dates as ive not had a period since May, she sent the letter 2nd Sept requesting it and ive got it 2moro, so it took 7 bloody weeks which is a joke if you ask me! i was terribly dissapointed with them

I had a reassurance scan at 9 weeks, and my dating scan at 13 weeks. I discussed it directly with the EPU and they were really helpful.
You are definatly not unreasonable!

Have you thought about using a doppler ? I found it reasuring because I could check for the heartbeat when ever I needed resurance. I beleive you can hear the heart beating from 12 weeks. i know that some people dont like using them in case they cant hear it they panic. I used mine loads, especially before scans and midwife appointments so that I wouldnt get worried when they checked for a heartbeat cos I knew there had been one that morning, so no nasty surprises. I also used it after I had car crash and felt so releived to hear it immediately .
