Hi Ladies

I am new to all of this so I am completely confused by all of the symptoms by body is currently going through. I came off the pill on the 25th April and had my usual bleed a few days after. I worked out that I should have been due my next "real" period last Wednesday but I still haven't had it, I know that this isn't unusual for someone who as recently come off the pill.

But since last week I have been having cramps and mood swings as if I am about to come on, and then on Sunday I had loads of gooey discharge in my underwear and terrible cramps but only on the right side of my lower abdomen. I took some OV test 10 days after my last bleed but they all came back negative, is it possible that what I experienced on Sunday was me ovulating, is that possible so long after my last bleed? sorry if I am sounding very naive but I am just really confused!!

Hiya,

By the sounds of it that could well have been ovulation.

I have had very irratic cycles since coming off the pill, my longest cycle was 69 days.

It is definitely possible to ov that long after your last bleed. Unfortunately it is just your body getting back to it normal functions after the pill.

Fingers crossed they settle down for you.

Hiya, yeah it def sounds like it was ovulation. The pill does weird things to our body,I've come off the pill 3 times and each time was different x

Thanks.

I didnt have any OV sticks at the time to test to see if that is what it was, but I did make sure I done the deed... just in case!!

yes it sounds like ovulation to me too. I have the other way around. I used 5 OPK's this cylce in a period of 10 days and they were all positive, but I know when I ovulated because I chart. Just wanted to say there are many things that could influince the OPK.s

Hope this is it for you :D

Well ladies you were all correct as I have just done a cheap asda ov test and sure enough there is a faint line, so all the pains which I have been having which I thought were period pains were in fact ov pains...... so exciting!!!

Fingers crossed you dtd in time!

I didnt do the deed until the next morning after I experienced the lower cramps and sticky CM, do you think I left it to late as I have just read that the ovum only survives for 24 hours ?

Sounds like you got in there in perfect timing Vicky, fingers crossed you hit the jackpot in your first month of trying!
