I live on the ground floor in an appartment block and as I was getting ready this morning I could hear this baby crying, really sobbing and thought it was the family in the basement appartment but when I left the house, walking out into the corridor two huge dogs bound towards me, a dalmation and a staffy and there's a little girl sat on the step screaming her lungs out, must of been about 12-14 months old, she could walk but not really talk, just kept saying 'daddeeeeeeeeee'. Absolutely no one around. I picked her up and shouted up the stairs and went outside, no parents/dog owners anywhere, I couldn't believe it, this sweet little baby girl all snotty with a dirty vest on. I just wanted to keep her and clean her up. I got my husband and he went knocking round all the flats (all 27) seeing if anyone was missing baby and some dogs. Nothing!!!! I was just about to ring the police when guy on the top floor came out all bewildered saying 'ehhh what are they doing here'. Turns out his ex had just dumped their dogs and baby and left them in the corridor for him to find. Hadn't even told him. He lives on the top floor for goodness sake! She was with me for about 25 mins just saying 'where dadeeeeeee' so cute made me wanna cry. I mean who leaves a baby unattended with dogs anyway???? Nevermind completely on her own, what if some nutter had of seen her first? Why are these people allowed to have kids and all us lot would give anything to have a beautiful little girl to look after. It absolutely broke my heart to give her back to him. I have reported it and they will deal with the mother. She wants locking up. Sorry for long post just needed to rant about this unfit mother!!!!!!!

Its makes me sick people like that can have children, thank goodness it was you that spotted them and not someone dodgy

I would phone social services ifi was you. That is completely and utterly out of order! I'm so angry and upset! How horrific for that poor little girl x

That is truely awful. Thank goodness it was you who found and not some nasty person!

I know. I mean what if she'd of got out of the building and just wandered off. It makes me wanna cry just thinking about what could of happened. Poor little girly

I have already reported it. Just don't want her to end up in care either. But better that than dead :(

So scary that a mother thought that that was the way to deal with her child. Well done you guys for coming to the rescue!

AW hon - u r such a star for helping this little one and for reporting what happened.....she owes u big time! Her mother needs bloody stringing up!!!!! xxx

Oh my god, thank god it was you that found her xx

bloody hell! Thank God your good self found her...it makes you shudder to think of what could have happened! The poor little mite...her Mother needs locking up!!!

oh my god! I can't believe a mother could do this! I still obsessively listen to my baby monitor at night and my little girl's 2 and a half!!
Good on you for reporting it and thank god there are people like you in this world who have a big heart and helped her out
xxx

I know. There's some horrible people out there I don't know how anyone could take that sort of risk with a little princess like her, who I've since found out is called Peaches! Bless

OMG, I can only echo what everyone else is saying, thank goodness you were there Toni. The potential consequences don't bear thinking about....!
How can some people act in such a disgusting way?? Gah!

I would hope it's only what anyone would of done but just not a chance worth taking. She's been on my mind all day, just feel so sorry for her.

Absolutely disgusting, so glad you found her, i hope the poor little girl is taken into care, at least she will be cared for... her mom is not even worthy of the name.. i do hope social services dont ignore this and live to regret later consequences, like so many others...

That is awful. What kind of a mother does that? I would defo call social services, if she is ok and being looked after then they will see that, but if not and she needs some help then they should know. Some people don't deserve to be parents

she needs help, SELFISH COW!!! id have called the police after 5 mins no luck. i feel sorry for her dad though i bet he was in shock that his partner just upped and left their daughter outside!
