i keep waking up on my right hand side.....grrrrrr...

what's your thoughts ladies?

xx

I find it hard to sleep on left side I start off there but never stay there

glad im not the only one.....my 'sausage pillow' is supposed to encourage me to stay on my left but i still manage to turn over. lol x

I still sleep on my tummy, and can relax best awake on my back, couldn't stay in one position if I tried.

I keep waking up on my back or right hand side too. I find that propping myself up with cushions helps though :) x

My hubby and I have had to swap sides in our bed!!!! We both like to face 'outwards' and I normally sleep on the right. I also need to be on the left side as that's where the crib will fit best when the baby's born. So we swapped sides about a week ago, and so far so good, though I find I get shoulder-ache sleeping in one position all of the time. Think I may have to invest in some better pillows!

Just had my bedroom decorated and got new bed so have swapper
Sides so we are both facing out! But I end up
On my back for some reason! X

I sleep on my left but lately been finding myself waking up on my back. What's odd tho is I find it uncomfortable on my back so not quite sure why I end up like it? Lol. Xx

This is the one thing I love about pregnancy, as I always sleep on my left side or back, but can start on my left and wake up on my left. :) x

i always sleep on my left or right, and i have to wake up to turn over. i always swap sides a few times a night as i get achey if i stay in one position for too long. constantly waking up every few hours to turn over is a pain tho lol, i wish i could do it in my sleep

i sort of wake up to turn.......have to do it slowly these days too or the ligament pain kicks in...lol x

i always forget that when im half asleep and go to move quickly like normal and then have to move back again as i get stabby pain lol then turn over slowly

where on earth does it say pregnant women must sleep on their left hand side??!!?!!

surely it makes no difference how you sleep, as your body is symmetrical?
i know after 16 wks u need to try and avoid sleepin jus on your back, but what you do whilst your asleep is something you cannot helP!

its something to do with blood flow etc but its one of those things thats just another piece of advice that you dont actually have to follow. somewhere on the web it will say that and many other crazy things. my ex manager was told she couldnt use scented candles, not just certain scents but any at all. i just laughed at her for actually listening to silly things like that without checking it out.

There was a study done and there was increases incidence of still born in women who slept not on there left side bit was still small in the grand scheme of things and study was small so not really worth much

I have a v pillow which I hug and tuck between my legs. I fell asleep on my left anyway but could never stay there. With my new pillow I stay on my left all night. It only cost me £8 so was a bargain too!

I'm just the same. I have to wake up swap my belly pillow over and then get back to sleep.

I'm stuffed as cannot sleep on my left due to a ongoing shoulder complaint. If I even lay on my left for more than 5 mins it goes dead and the nerves get trapped and I always know if I have slept on it as I cannot feel it or move in the morning.
