SIL is pregnant

My MIL just put her foot in it! Lol. She called to talk about scan and then when I asked how she was and how SIL was (they're doing a marathon walk together) she asked if I knew their news! Lol! Typical bloody Mum!

She's due in April apparently. They're coming over on Thursday and have been really keen to see us, so we had guessed already, but there you go.

It's funny, I'm pleased for them and its great that she'll be off next year too and our kids will be so close in age. Lovely really. But I still find that I feel jealous when someone says they're pregnant. Idk why. I think it's because we were ttc for so long and I still get that jealous reaction. Especially when they've only just started ttc. Mad isn't it?

No it's normal Hun to feel a bit like it's taken the shine off it for u. But when both babies r here they will be close and u will have someone in similar position. Must be hard after ttc when someone else gets pregnant very quickly. Think everyone feels like that to a degree in your position! X

Idk I think I'm strange! I don't feel like they've taken the light off of us or anything, I really don't. And I'm pleased for them. Maybe that'll change with my hormones lol! I just think in my head sometimes I'm still in ttc iykwim so my gut reaction is always to feel jealous. I'm so glad that it happened now and not when we were ttc.

I'm going to think positively about it. I'd have loved to have grown up near a cousin the same age. Should be lovely

count your baby lucky. i got a sis whos at uni and in no rush to have kids and my oh is the youngest of 8 so has nieces and nephews that are older than him and who have kids so my lo will have cousins that are miles older than him plus will already be a sort of uncle lol :-s x

i can understand when i was 10 weeks pregnant i found out my sister in law was 6 weeks she fell first month off the pill it took us two years. But now im excited but defo felt she stole my thunder for about a week

I know exactly how u feel my aunts pregnant after a miscarriage in dec and I'm thrilled for her really am ESP as it's been harder as she's 20 years older than me but I know exactly how y feel!

I already have 3 children and my older sister had been trying for over a year with her first and now is thankfully pregnant
I was very shocked but delighted to find I'm pregnant with my 4 th I did feel mean when I had to tell her xxxx

Ah lanny you shouldn't feel mean! I wouldn't wish a long time ttc on anyone. It's pants!

Its a great thing really I wish I grew up with a cousin nearby and the same age!

When I was 8 weeks pregnant after all the mc's etc my best friend told me she thought she was pregnant! She was and I felt a bit put out cos it was an accident!! Now it's great tho is we are only 2 days apart and stress together he he!!

That's lovely My cousin is due 3 days before me and it's her first too. We don't live anywhere near each other but it's been nice having someone to talk to. x
