Hi my lo is now 2 weeks old and am still struggling with breast feeding. Like my first, this one has slow weight gain, actually in the last week she has had no gain/ a little further loss. It's really shattered my confidence in breast feeding, especially as I don't feel full at all anymore and I get hardly anything when I pump. Plus I have to give her a top up, which she wolfs down, which makes me think I have low supply again.
Feeds also take an hour, she fusses round at the boob a lot as she is still sleepy and hard to wake. I also still haven't fed in public!!

Not looking for pity here, just reassurance that it will get better!

I think on average it takes 6 weeks to establish feeding, some babies take longer.

Try to stick at it

Are you in a position where you can just take to bed for the day with her and have your boobs out when she wants them?

I'd love to do that! But unfortunately I have a hyper toddler that knows when I'm feeding she can run riot!!!!!

Hi hun, i had low supply with my first, this time i have Domperidone (can be bought otc as Motilium). I was advised to take it for a week if the same happens again.

What's the dosage? Will have a look, my supply seems to be low at the end of the day and night time.

Supply is at the lowest in the evening. If you pm me your email, i will forward the advice i got from my hospital. xxx
