Should I be worried

Basically I have my next appointment with m/w at my local surgery next Wednesday. I am 34 weeks on Saturday but STILL have not been measured for growth. The midwife I had last two times was a dizzy bitch, she said the first time she had forgot her tape measure (fair play that was at 25weeks) then at 30 weeks it was when we had all the snow and she was rushing to go and pick her little boy up and again when I asked to measure me she didn't have the measure.

Luckily I know that baby is defo growing (I am fecking huge) but what if it's too big?! do they give you growth scans for being too big and can they induce you early? how early can they induce you?

thinking of going the walk-in Friday afternoon to put my mind at rest!

I had my bump measured by the midwife at my appointment on Monday (33wk + 5). Which came as surprise because this is my second baby and I am quite far along with this one and that had never happened to me before!!!
The midwife was covering for my usual one who was on holiday. Apparently its a new thing where I live to even bother measuring it....
Mine happened to be just the right size (which again I found surprising because baby is underneath a good layer of Kit Kats!!!!!)
Size of bump does not seem like a very accurate way to measure baby to me - but what do I know?

that's a bit re-assuring then, my Mum was saying she never got measured with either of my brothers but that was 18years ago so I said times have moved on since then!

I have never been measured wiv a tape measure til this pregnancy,its not a v accurate guide anyway and is more to check that baby is growin rather than how big he or she is xx

I have only been measured 1ce in all my 3 pregnancies. I also heard it wasn't really an accurate guide too xx

Just found this - maybe you could measure yourself just to keep track and then get midwife to do it next time (take a tape measure with you!)

I was measured aeach appointment with my older 3, but nowadays they don't seem to be so worried, perhaps as they now know it's not really accurate, just a guide as all our bodies are different. I measured small for dates each time , and only the last one was actually small!

Only measured once at 27 weeks - and measured 3 weeks behind - so same this 4th time, and yet the growth scan said average baby so all fine. I will know in 3 weeks time ish, what Devons final weight is, but I reackon top 7lbs or perhaps 8! He would be my biggest baby then.
