Setting off for the hospital soon, big thanks 1st post

I'm sure everything is fine. This whole measuring thing doesn't seem very reliable, so I wouldn't use it as a basis for anything tbh. Good luck tomorrow, I'm sure everything is fine! :D

I agree with rach and sarah... could be way bubs was lying, maybe switched from back to back or something......

the whole measuring thing isnt really reliable (esp if she didnt use a tape measure!!!) when I went to triage couple of weeks back they measured me at 27cm and then the next day at my appointment I was 26cm! So really not reliable!

Thinking of you tomo, let us know how you get on

sorry didnt word it right, she used a tape measure this time, it was last time she didnt

Im sure everything will be fine, but good luck for tomorrow and does sound like your MW might have got the measurements wrong especially if she didnt use a tape measure..

I was measuring 35 weeks at my 31 week appt. the midwife said that it could just be a big baby and the height of fundus thing is not accurate anyway, and she said it could be way bubs is lying, or the way im carrying or just the waters. she sent me for a scan and head and leg measurements were fine and her tummy was measuring over average but she said its nothing to worry about, bubs is fine and gonna be a healthy weight!

Please try not to worry  youll probs just have alittle chunker lol. if the midwife was worried she would have sent u straight for a scan hon.. Good luck with liver results and hope u find out more tomoro x

How does she no if she never used a tape measure hun???

I look arounf for you to find out some info and i got this:http://parenting.ivillage.com/pregnancy/psecondtri/0,,midwife_45gw,00.html

If a woman is measuring three or more centimeters ahead of her dates, I usually examine all the parameters for dating (LMP, conception, contraception used, positive pregnancy test, size at first visit, quickening, growth pattern, previous growth patterns, ultrasound results). If all the data still points to the original due date, one must consider that this is normal for this particular mother. It does not necessarily mean that she will deliver earlier.

One may or may not consider requesting another ultrasound if the provider is concerned. This could give a guess as to the estimated fetal weight and the amount of amniotic fluid. Rarely, an excess of fluid known as "hydramnios" or "polyhydramnios" is diagnosed and efforts must be directed at discovering why this condition exists.

Dont worry to much hun im sure it will be fine

Do you feel like LO has had a massive growth spurt? I tink you would have felt it if he/she had. Try hard not to worry, when I was training, I could never measure properly, I would measure the same tummy twice and have a massive difference in the two measurments
Good luck tomorrow

Thanks everyone for your kind words, i feel a little calmer, it was all just so sudden and with my liver test being abnormal just sent me into panick mode, still praying everything is ok, maybe my dates are wrong or bubs had a growth spurt
I have abnormal results too from my LFT hun but the MW's have assured me all is fine and its most probably due to being pregnant than being ill! They tested for obstetric cholestasis but tests for that came back fine, just abnormal in other areas!   You may have lots of water hun! And wow Hope was a big girl! lol I would expect this LO to be big too! Im sure everything is ok hun! I hope the hospital can put your mind at ease tomorrow!
