wot happeneds nxt wen measurin big?

im 28weeks went to midwife today she measured me with the tape and said i measure 32 weeks???? i got to go bk again in 2weeks to get remeasured???
wot happeneds if im still gettin bigger????

im scared dior was only 5lb and i found the birth terrible i wont cope..

im sooooo scared!!!!

 

That's not tremendously bigger, they will re-measure you and if you are still big they may send you for a scan.

I was told by my mv that if my baby got too big they'd look at starting me off early. I did end up getting started off early but not because of his size!

try not to worry hun at 26 weeks i was measuring 32 midwife says i have to go every 2 weeks at the moment to be measured and that if i carried on measuring big they would give me a scan to check size of baby will keep you updated on what happens next time i get measured which maybe 2moro as i have to go hospital for diabetes testing

Hi Dionne,

When my Midwife took my first measurement,I was measuring 3 weeks further on,I had to go to be measured by a different midwife who said the same,then the following week I was refered to a specialist at the hospital,who measured me at 43cm - i.e full term!!!
He then arranged for a growth scan,amniotic assessment,and also the GTT test incase of diabetes,which I had done Friday just gone,they found everything was okay and there wasn't much to worry about.
It's great to see how much more developed your little bean is when you have the extra scans!!
