September 2017 Mummas Thread!

Hi guys. Not been on much. Turns out being pregnant, working and looking after a 2 year old is hard work!
Had my scan last week and my due date has changed to 26th September now.
Baby is looking good and had my results back for Downs and Edwards and both are low risk. :)
I'm just over sixteen weeks due beginning of sept, we find out in about three weeks. Going to do a gender reveal cake for the families so that will be fun, any excuse for cake hey! :) I'll keep you updated, let me know when you find out, it's great fun guessing with all the old wives tales in the meantime :) xx
oh ok not too far ahead then in towards the end of September (25th).
yes definitely keep me updated please will be interesting to know if out instincts are right would be interesting to compare scans , especially once you know.

gender reveal cakes are a great idea , would love to see it if your making yourself might make some little cupcakes you've inspired me.
is this your first child ?

keep me posted xx

Hi all!
Sorry to hear some of you have not had a great time recently. I keep getting various aches and pains, feel like I've aged 30 years! Cannot stop eating either. Would just eat all day if I could! Not good...
Congratulations on your pink bump pb!
I think we're going to stay yellow (although convinced its a boy!). We stayed yellow with our first, and my husband told me what we had when he was born. Was lovely for him to be involved in that way. Would like to do it again. Plus I'm so nervous theyd get it wrong if we did find out!
Happy mothers day for Sunday for all you mummies and mummie-to-be!!! Xxx

We're in hospital :( I've got an awful chest infection dr has said that it is threatening the baby :( x

Pemsy, that would piss me right off too. I agree, put it about that it's a surprise for friends and family, and maybe say that your friends are organising it and didn't know about her so couldn't invite her?

Mellie, great to see you back again. Toddlers alone are hard work, never mind the rest! Yay for a good scan and low risk results, what a relief.

I can't get into the whole baby shower or gender reveal stuff, so have put it down to me being utterly boring and unimaginative :lol: I do love seeing other people's bits though so pics please from any of you doing anything!

Mucho respect for the ladies staying team yellow, I have absolutely no staying power and need to know. I'm desperate to go out and buy a ton of pink bits so I need to scratch that itch by finding out its a girl or crack out the boy baby bits and buy a bit more if it's a boy.

Elfs Mummy sending love, hope you and baby are ok. A friend of mine had 3 chest infections and pneumonia during her pregnancy and baby arrived last week at 38 weeks, and is happy and healthy. It's hard not to worry but you're in the right place and they'll keep a close eye on you both. Sending lots of get well soon wishes your way :hugs:

Had a bleed today because of the stress of it all ! They showed me inbetween the legs and I didn't see anything obvious so I'm back to being undecided on gender. Thank goodness s/he is ok xx

Glad to hear baby's okay elfs mummy. Sending lots of get well wishes to you!

Anyone have any weird second tri symptoms?
I'm 17 weeks today and the odd ones (minus stupid mood swings) are --

stuffy and bloody nose, but only when blowing
SUPER increased sex drive, and constant sex dreams about my SO (and only him <3)
dehydration/headaches on waking up

Also, my tummy and lower back seems slightly hairer?! I'm very pale and fair haired, so it's not really noticeable to anyone but me and the SO, but jeez it's weird!

First pregnancy and not felt baby move yet. May have had flutters but I don't know how to distinguish between them and gas

I have a stuffy nose to, when I blow has the occasional bit of blood. Headaches on and off (more like ice pick headache, hurts like fk). Weeing alot, in the night pee, then drink half a litre, repeat heh.
My nipples are so sensitive, not painful but if something touches them I get super horny  hubby loves it though ha!!
Oh don't forget the dreams and being unable to tell the difference between dreams and real life. Plus 'pregnancy brain' can't remember anything. I've even had to make a chart so I kno if I've taken my aspirin lol.
I've felt a few movements, last week had a few then yday morn had some bug ones now gone back to just flutters lol.

Aw god I'm so embarrassed, ventured out for the first time in over a week to get Mother's Day flowers, managed to get to the florist and back, pulled up in our shared driveway and my neighbour appeared so started talking to me before I had a chance to even get out the car, had to shout stand back as I projectiled everywhere :( mortified and so so sick of being sick!

Oh ClaireDoll!
At least you made it to the florist? Baby steps :)

Hope you start to feel some relief soon x

Oh Claire doll how awful :( hope the sickness goes soon I was sick on the school run a few times with my son was awful. I feel completely drained today hoping it'll pass soon as Inhabe two other children who need me x

Thanks girls, needed a wee bit of sympathy lol my OH is totally rubbish. They've told me to expect to be sick until birth now, which in a way I can actually accept more as previously it was constantly moving goal posts, 12 weeks, 14, 16 etc. I've reached 16 this week and it's been getting worse so yeah, baby steps and each day is another day closer :) hopefully find out on Wednesday if we're team pink or blue! Think it will help me to know to be able to connect with baby more, it doesn't feel real yet as the hyperemesis kinda takes over all feeling!

Yay, what team do you wanna be? I thought we was having a boy all the way but I was wrong!

I'm gonna guess your team pink because of the sickness :) xx

I know PB, everyone's said boy for me so far so secretly hoping they are all wrong and I'm team pink with you haha. Don't mind either way though just more desperate to know they are okay in there!

Happy Mother's Day ladies just think at our next one we'll have six month old babies :) xx

Wow
Just freaked out a little!

I've been having a freakout over birth options today. Terrified of the pain of natural birth, terrified of a c-section, but don't want pain relief? :wall2:
