September 2017 Mummas Thread!

No way! Congratulations PB, I predicted boy. It's good to be wrong.

I keep waking at 4am and can't sleep (hence my early morning post) x

Elfs Mummy, pants for high BP. I'm under consultant led for the same problem, the worry is horrid. Keep us updated?

Congratulations on a pink bump PB

Congrats PB, so exciting!!

Elfs Mummy - take it easy, hope you get some sleep soon and good luck with your 16 week appointment, I have mine this week too, hopefully we'll get to hear the heartbeat :) x

I think boy may x

only had one other reply who's said girl very confusing.
i would like a girl but as the pregnancy is progressing i would just want him/her to be healthy most importantly.

I've always thought i was meant to have a girl and have had girl in my head ever since finding put i was pregnant me then at the scan boy thoughts came into my head and thought i saw a penis but I'm very uneducated in scans .

very unsure if he/she has a penis in this photo ??

thank you for your reply x

Is this your first baby May? I'm the same just want baby healthy no matter what it turns out to be it'll be awesome! But you can buy super cute outfits for girls :)

What week was the scan taken? I'm useless at scans too tbh, they say girls have rounder foreheads but mine does and I think mines a boy haha, we'll soon find out! x

Congratulations on your little girl on :)
May I think boy for you. Well the gym infections cleared up but now I've got a chest infection ffs it's never ending I'm really struggling looking after both the kids especially as c is going through another sleep regression. I said to my partner that through I make awesome babies I'm never putting myself through pregnancy again it's taking too much out of me already this time. He agreed and he'll be having the snip once this baby is born thank goodness. I'm desperate for a nap already I'm really concerned about how the hell im going to get through the summer holidays with both the babies :( x

I had my 16 week midwife appointment today.
For those wondering what happens at this appointment, like I was before I attended this morning, she took some urine and blood pressure, listened for the heartbeat, and talked about symptoms, struggles, domestic violence / emotional state etc (which is to establish any risks, get help..)

Hope everyone is well today x

I'm just over sixteen weeks due beginning of sept, we find out in about three weeks. Going to do a gender reveal cake for the families so that will be fun, any excuse for cake hey! :) I'll keep you updated, let me know when you find out, it's great fun guessing with all the old wives tales in the meantime :) xx

Looking forward to my 16 week appt next week, anomaly scan is mid April so no too much longer to wait until we find out the gender. The wait is poo!

My 16 week appointment is in 2 weeks! Lmao.
Idk how you can wait till 20 weeks scan to find out the gender! I only paid 45 for sex scan and 4d scan with it :) xx

Any mummy's out there also deciding not to find out?x

I can't believe with my son I knew he was a boy at this stage anomaly scan on the 26th April and once I'm over that hurdle it'll be another 19 weeks till we find out I can't wait for the surprise x

We're having a surprise, never thought I'd be excited by that with how impatient I normally am! But we are, little girl or boy we'll just have to wait and meet you in September!
Scan will be on 28th April. Just 3 days after my little boys very first birthday! crazy.

Did waaaay too much walking and spent too much time on my feet today, now I'm paying the price. My legs are agony, aching and cramping and are really restless and sore. I've got some round ligament pain and then to top it all off, we ordered a very rare takeaway which certainly didn't agree with me (or the baby didn't agree!)
And I've been vomiting ever since.
took myself upstairs and ran a bath late last night which didn't end up helping, been racing to the toilet throughout the night...now my little boy is awake and ready to play at 5 am. Wonderful!

Oh bless you BB8. I am off work today with a nasty cold and it's leading to nose bleeds right on cue. I do feel for all you've been through!

This is our first and I've never wanted to find out early, my husband did but when I explained how I felt he did agree and now we cannot wait for our surprise. We have no preference just praying for good health and I personally love the guessing especially as we have different ideas.

Also my baby girl would were plenty of blue, green etc (if I can then baby can) so I do want to avoid a flood of pink items. My mums already finished knitting her first cardigan in years.

I know it's early but has anyone had thoughts about showers? Are you doing early gender reveal parties?

I think we will have a shower at 8 months but I have one 'friend' who I just don't want there. She has always had me at her showers so I do feel bad, however she is very opinionated and we disagree on many things. I have always just listened to her but I think we could argue if she says things on the day. Plus she is a bitch, she will tell you that herself. She was a nightmare at my hen party and made it hard for my closest friends. I don't want them to feel uncomfortable on the day.

Oh and for my wedding I brought her girls my (flower girls) some pretty monsoon dresses. 2 weeks after handing them over she said they didn't fit well and asked for bigger ones. I got bigger ones and I was shocked on the day to see they were falling off the shoulders. It took me nearly a year to work out what she'd had done.

Her best friend got married the following summer and the girls wore the dresses I bought them which fit perfectly. When I checked the dates, she asked me for bigger dresses two days after this friend announced her engagement. I found it very hurtful and deceptive that she we use me in order to get free dresses for a future wedding.

Also this year she had her a fourth girl, I bought her two packs of baby clothes and she has put them up for sale on her IG clearly labelled 'never worn' so I just find her rude atm and I'm less tolerant of her than normal. She isn't my friend through choice, she is married to my husbands friend but we have known each other ten years now and I don't want to upset her, I just don't want her there. I know she will make it about her or comment on how she disagrees with breast feeding and it will get my back up. I have over 4 months to plan what I will do.

My one idea is to ask a friend to help me arrange it and pitch it as a surprise for very close family/friends so that she doesn't feel targeted. What would you do? Should I just take the high road and bare it? I also don't want to jeopardise my husbands friendship with her other half? X
