September 2017 Mummas Thread!

Evening ladies, hope you're all doing well? I've pinned hubby down to deciding on names. Have you had any name thoughts yet?

We've had a few lets call them minor disagreements about names so far lol, I've said there's no point discussing it until we hopefully find out gender on the 29th.

We have serious name issues pretty sure we're having another boy and there's nothing we both agree on x

We had a list of 15 which is now down to 2 girls and 3 boys. Grrrrrr :wall2:

we've already decided! This happened with baby number 1, we were like...I like this one, he was like yeah me too, done! we have a girls and a boys name in the waiting, ready for the big day. about the only thing we are prepared and organised for!

We won't make any decisions before she/he is here as last time I changed my mind on the operating table he was going to be Samuel but he was most definitely not he was my Charlie bear from the moment I saw him.

We have a girls name, but can't agree on a boys name, hubby likes old fashioned ones but I hate them. We liked one but he said no cos it's his cousins name i was like what? He said the cousin I've never met and he hasn't seen in 10 years why the fk not let us use the name then?! Ugh lol x

I can't do cousin names either. I've a 2nd cousin back home who I think I've met once and I love his name but I won't use it. Would be too weird having two children in the fairly immediate family with the same name

But they don't speak and never will see each other again. Plus it's not his actual cousin it's his uncles wife's son. I mean I wouldn't use names of people I see.. but I have cousins i haven't seen for years and couldn't care less if I use thier names.
I hope it's a girl because we can agree on everything but if it's a boy or see many arguments haha.

So how is everyone coming along?

I told most of my work colleagues last Friday as people were asking a lot of very strange questions and I could feel all eyes on my little bump. I was having so much ligament pain on Friday and I seemed to wake up with a bump twice as big on Saturday morning. It's hard to hide now but it does change as they say goes on.

How is everyone get on with their bumps and announcements? X

Hi all, haven't been on for weeks. How's everyone doing? Has sickness settled down for those suffering?

My nausea has finally subsided which is good. Headaches are my new one! Everyone at my work know and my little bump is pretty obvious now! I work in a school and parents haven't been told yet but if they start asking I'll be saying yes now!

Has anyone bought much? We have a few baby grows that were presents when we announced and a couple bibs and muslins we picked up but that's all. Went to a Mamas and Papas parent to be event last weekend which was quite good. Stuck between choosing a buggy from there and a silvercross one. Already lol.. too soon??

Pemsy, yay for bump! I always think a bump makes it feel much more real, more than the scan anyway.

MrsDuckie, glad your nausea has stopped and yay for your bump too! How exciting! I hated buggy shopping, I found it the most stressful part of the whole pregnancy process  both brands are quite good so I think it depends on what you can fit in your car, what you're looking for and what you prefer!

My announcement was crap as I expected. No one was really happy for me apart from my grandparents. Stuck the scan up on facebook and that response was nice. I didn't expect it to go down well but it'd disappointing all the same. Hey ho, it's done now anyway which is the main thing.

Queasiness has calmed down but my gag reflex has gone haywire and I'm heaving every time I eat. I've no appetite either so am forcing myself to eat which is making the heaving worse. This has got to be the hardest pregnancy yet, I hope this all calms down soon. I went to bed last night only having had a sandwich and some After Eights for dinner!

Haven't bought anything yet but we haven't much to buy as we have most of it still. We're waiting to see what baby's gender is to see if we need to get girly clothes or can stick with little boy clothes, I'm so excited for the 20 week scan!

Oh no Kumber, why aren't your family supportive?

I have my two best friends from secondary school left to tell. I couldn't see them til the weekend after next and defiantly wanted to do it face to face.

I work in a school with a few sites, everyone on my primary site pretty much knows but I saw some from the secondary sit today and was asked outright as they stared at my tummy. I even had some touch my belly which was a bit of a shock! X

evening mummys xx
im due September the 4th , my parents wedding anniversary ☺☺
im new here... i hope you are all enjoying pregnancy dxx

Pemsy, they think I should have waited another while for #3 and gone into work instead. I have chosen not to work until they're in school, we're lucky that we can afford it and we give up on things like holidays and eating out. They don't understand that mentality and seem to think I'm taking something away from my little ones! I'm very different from my family in almost every way, so similar issues crop up a lot, I just let it go over my head and move on!

The belly touching always gets worse as you get bigger, I firmly put my foot down and say "Please don't touch my person" as it really is very rude. When you're pregnant you seem to lose all recognition as a person, can't understand it myself.

Brighteyes, welcome and congratulations!

That's such a shame. I know all family's are different but that sounds like such a privilege to go back to work after all of your children in school.

I would do that in a heartbeat if I could x

Hi all! I am officially 14 weeks today so have finally come over here! My scan put me a couple of days ahead so my due date is now 15th September, could you change the front page please firstfreakout?
Hope you're all doing okay? Anyone felt any movements yet?
Kumber, sorry to hear your announcement was as well received as hoped. Im sure theyll all come round further down the line, especially when babys here! And if not, thats their problem. As long as you and your family are happy, thats all that matters, right? Xx

Hi everyone I'm 14 weeks pregnant today.. My due date was 24th Sep but scan put me 9 days before so my due date will be now 15th of Sep 2017.. :)
