Im so scared that I am going to have another missed miscarriage
I am only 5wk5d but after a mmc in may I am just so nervous! I have an appointment on friday just to book but inreally want an early scan! Will they just give me one because of my history? Xx

Hi, sorry to hear about your loss in May. I had a mmc in nov last year and am now 8wks give after nearly a year of trying again, and I'm also very nervous and scared about things.

I think after a mmc or any mc it's naturally to be more worried as you're very aware of what can happen. I did have an early scan at 7wks as I phoned up and basically ended up crying down the phone to a midwife Id never met! She was lovely though and booked me in for 7wk (I waa 6wk at the time I phoned) she said to wait a week as they'd be more to see and incase my dates were out. Saw hb and all was well. I'm still very nervous and have booking app tomorrow and will at least ask if I can possibly get an early scan at between 9-10wks as that's when little'un stopped growing last time.

So I a very long ramble I'm saying definitely talk to midwife at your app and hopefully they will sort something out so you don't have to wait until 12wks. Xxx

Thabk you sp much for your message I really want an early scan to settle my mind so im 6weeks (I think) tomorrow! Im at the gp tomorrow so in going to beg for an early scan! Next week would ve sooo good but I hace a funny feeling im in for a wait!

See what they say, I think a scan too early can cause more worry as it can be inconclusive but if your 7wka next week they may suggest the end of next week. Fingers crossed for you xx

Hopefully I will know in the morning if a can get one! Ill ring the maternity unit if my gp doesnt help! I just want to know everything is ok! Id love to see a heartbeat.. I know roughly wheb I ovulated too so I know I should be 6 weeks tomorrow and if they would do a scan for me at 7 weeka I wouls be over the moon ( and probably full of nerves) thnk you so much for helping me and sharing your experience xx

Hi ladies I had mmc last October and had an early scan at 6 weeks with this pregnancy. It was too early though they couldn't see a heart beat and I was behind with dates. But I caught up and I'm now almost 19 weeks and all seems great.

If you don't get offered a scan then ask for one. It's very hard being newly pregnant when you have experienced a loss. My gp has been fantastic organised an early scan and has shouted at the hospital to make sure I'm treated right bless her.

I have had some bleeding in this pregnancy which has been very scary so it's been one heck of a roller coaster. And then had to face the first anniversary of the previous loss. It's hard work but please please try and relax as much as you can, stay away from Google and try to see this pregnancy as what it is, a new one.

Thanks Rhonda, I really do find it helpful hearing other people's happy stories. Booking app tomorrow for me so hoping chat with midwife about everything might settle me for a bit.

I would have been due the day before my 12week mark
I really hope my 12week shows a healthy buba
But I am sure emotions will be everywhere.. I have been very emotional as my friend just had her baby and I should be happy but I just wish I was doing the same thing next month
But I am so blessed to get pregnant again

Bless you. Don't be too hard on yourself I'm sure your friend will understand. It is hard I found the anniversary hard and to be honest it took me quite by surprise.

I know what you mean about getting your hopes up it took me a while to get my head round it. I've had several scans due to spotting and bleeding. It wasn't until the third scan that I realised it wasn't all a dream and that i could get excited.

I want a doopler for 10weeks to hear the heatbeat myself!
It doesn't feel real just yet! Maybe it will after 12 week scan

I didn't get s heart beat on the doppler until week 14. It's great now I'm further along but earlier if you can't find it then it can cause you more worries xx

Hi,

This is my third pregnancy, sadly my first two ended in miscarriage. I found out this time 2 days before my period was due, so knew really earlier and went straight to my GP, she booked me in for weekly HCG tests to check my levels were increasing as they should be, and i had this until 7 weeks (I'm 9 weeks 1 day today). I had two days of bleeding a few weeks back, and got in such a state about it. I spoke to the GP in tears and she booked me in for an early scan at 6 weeks and all was ok. I have had another scan this week, which I paid for privately as I'm worrying so much. Got to see and heart the heart beat at that one which was amazing. I think I will worry the whole pregnancy, but am hoping I'll be able to enjoy it once i get passed 12 weeks. At the moment I'm just scared.

Im sorry to hear of your mc's
I dont want to wish time away but I wish I could just skip to the 12 week scan
Nothing will stop me worring until I have a baby in my arms I think, so your deff not alobe there! I had my bloods done at 4weeks and it was 260 then 405 in 18hours so the increase seemed good! Now just to convince my gp to let me have an early scan to see a heartbeat and that moght aettle me for a week or 2! hope your pregnancy is a healthy one too! When is your next scan? I read that onceyou see theheart the chances of mc go way down

I read some ladies can hear it at 9weeks! I think ill be an addict if I get one lol

Booking appointment today went well, same woman as last time. Main update is I've got my next scan on 12th November, so I have three and a half weeks give or take to try and stay calm :s not sure how I'll do at that!?!

i should hopefully be just under 12 weeks then do should be a good time for a scan if all is well. I wish seeing the heartbeat at 7 wks helped but right now I can't stop thinking that I got that last time!'

Anyway, going to try stay positive, away for four night from Sunday with OH so that should gel time pass xxx

I had a MC in march and started ttc again in June and found out last week i'm pregnant again, but i'm terrified i'm going to MC again. Going to the Drs next week when i'm off work and book an appointment with the midwife

I had doctor s today to
I followed up my doctors referral and I have a scan next Thursday that should measure 6+6
im hoping it will and am so glad I pushed for one!

Alteast we have people to share our thoughts and worries with
I dont like talking about it with my oh!

Glad to hear you got an early scan sorted, although j do still worry (as you can probably tell) it definitely does help and at 6+6 heartbeat should be seen (asking as dates are about right) so hopefully a good time to have one

Am looking forward to getting away but know I'll be anxious if I get no symptoms, see how u go I guess.
Ooh and when I get back you'll ha e had your scan so I'll look forward to hearing your update

My dates should be about right so hoping to see heartbeat want the next 5 days to just fly in ... I know it will drag though!
I think id I see the heartbeat that might beep me going but another 5 weeks to wait after that... I dont know how ill cope!

I know I dont know if anytging could take my mind off this honestly obsessed isnt the word!
Feeling sick today! But im glad because I like to have something to tell me im still pregnant
Going to buy a doppler after this scan so hopefully will only have to wait a few weeks to hear heartbeat again..
Was your first scan internal? I know my last scan in epu they did both but internal seemed much clearer so hoping it is
