With my first little girl I craved anything sweet and sugary , I felt sick and was sick, I felt and looked like crap and was a moody crab. My second which I sadly Mc I craved savoury and was completely different to my first pregnancy. This time I feel pretty much identical to the first pregnancy. Is there a connection to gender ? Or can you have an identical pregnancy and have different gender ??

Three of my friends have two children each. They all had two totally different pregnancies with different cravings and different levels of sickness. One has two boys, one has two girls and one has one of each.

I've been researching the same thing and people seem to say both so I think everyone is different really but my experience was this:

First - nauseous until 16 weeks and threw up once a day every day from week 11 to 16. Was quite hormonal and teary throughout, spotty, lots of skin related flare ups. Craved bacon sandwiches in early weeks and pineapple juice and more healthy 'clean' feeling things like refreshing lemonade ice lollies, cream cheese and cucumber. Seemed to carry more across my body so bump didn't stick out miles at the front. Was a girl.

Second - some nausea and a few occasions of sickness in first 12 weeks. Craved bacon sandwiches. Not as hormonal. No skin problems but sinus problems (6 weeks infection at one point) and general cough colds a lot. Bump was very frontal and I looked huge like I had a massive balloon up there! Was a boy and I felt throughout that it felt like a very different pregnancy.

Third - 24 hour nausea until week 11 and sick a few times in that period but a lot of dry retching as well. Spotty and hormonal. I feel like so far this pregnancy feels much more like my daughters one. So far most people think I'm having a girl but I'll find out on Wednesday next week!

I'd heard craving sweet and sugary things means it's a girl!

I find it all fascinating :D be very intestested to hear what you have Rose sounds girly to me !

Iv got three boys already and 31 weeks pregnant with my 4th boy. My first two were identical pregnancies no sickness no nausea etc. third pregnancy felt sick from 6weeks til 17 weeks but not actually sick and this pregnancy felt sick 24/7 since 5 weeks started being sick at 7weeks this all continued til 22weeks then stopped and just yesterday started feeling sick 24/7 and being sick in a morning xx

Did you have any different cravings?

Generally the same pregnancies for my boys, but different cravings. This one is making so much more hormonal and irrational, I've had worse queasiness with it too. Waiting to find out gender but I don't put stock into it being a different gender as every pregnancy is so different

I had very similar pregnancies with my 2 boys, hardly any sickness but extreme tiredness in 1st trimester, absolutely exhausted. Didn't have any particulars cravings but just generally couldn't stop eating everything in sight!

This one is a girl and pregnancy has been quite different, I haven't been tired at all really, had a couple of weeks of sickness at 5-6 weeks but then felt great until 13 weeks, then felt sick every morning until 20 weeks! I haven't been as hungry either xx
