and nobody could beleive how high ours was (£123 a mth), well Brian has been doing some DIY and we *think* we have figured out why it's high...
Last trip he was home he laid new laminate flooring and this time home he has been doing the skirting boards and facings round the doors and windows. Well he took the wood surrounds off round the windows in the living room to put the new ones on, and behind the old wood, there is a huge gap between the window and the wall all the way round, and they are 2 floor to ceiling windows!
We called the company that put the windows in as we have a 15yr guarentee for their work and the manager came to look and he has sent someone up to repair them and pack the gap with that expanding foam stuff and he is giving us a £150 voucher for a local compant to get blinds.
Hopefully once it's fixed we wont need our heating on so much and it will save on the electric too!!
