Redundancy/maternity pay

Hi.

Any info or advice would be appreciated.
I've been in my current job as a nanny for 10 months. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and was planning on starting maternity leave the end of June. I would get SMP.

Last night my boss came home and told me she has had the sack from work and would have to give me my notice! I'm so surprised but understand that its out of her hands.

What do I do now?
Can I still gt maternity pay?
Can I get any benefits now?
Don't think I will get another job.

I don't think you can get SMP from that job, because you need to be in the job in the 15th week before your baby is due. I think you can get Maternity Allowance instead.
