Hi everyone,

Quick question as I'm trying for my first .. I think it's far too soon as I only had my contraception removed only recently (coil) we also had intercourse 2 days before it was removed & then intercourse since it was removed .... I have a few symptoms; sore boobs, blue veins (which I've never noticed before) my moods are a little up and down & I've had some spotting.

Is this all due to my body getting used to not havin the Marena in or is it early signs??
I don't want to be taking tests and getting my hopes up just yet (think I'm reading to much into it because I'm excited :/)

Any advice is helpful? :) :)

Xx

I am by no means an expert with the coil (lasted 3 weeks as it hurt like hell so good on you lol!). I wouldn't say it was impossible, that being said I'd give it at least a cycle to settle back to your bodies natural pattern and see how things go from there.

Do you know how far along you are in your cycle? Try not to symptom spot too, I've been guilty of this then when AF popped her head in I was majorly disappointed as it got both our hopes up.

Good luck, I know how exciting it can get so I dont blame you and I'm sure it wont be long before you get your BFP :) x

I had the coil in for just over a year (no complications thank god lol) and got my af every month on time, I'm nearing my next one (week and a half away) so will just wait and see Till after then. I don't want to be dissapointed if it comes up with a bfn ha
My partner keeps saying I'm just imagining these symptoms cause I'm getting too excited Haha

Hopefully I'll not have to long to wait :) xx

Yeah I didn't get on with mine, my periods are very painful, long and heavy anyway but for the 3/4 weeks I had it in I was in agony, so they removed it.

You could of ovulated or be near? Try get to know your body and check your CM to keep track or you could use OPK to get an idea of when you do ovulate (if you do pick up OPKS Clearblue can be pricey so you can get alternatives off amazon and ebay).

But be careful lol, peeing on sticks can be addictive... x

I agree it could take a while for your cycles to return to normal but you could still get a + in this time. Make sure you're taking pregnancy supplements such as Pregnacare already as you're supposed to take them approx 3 months before you conceive. Good luck x

Easier said than done, but I definitely agree with the girls that symptom spotting can be a dangerous game.. Test if AF doesn't arrive when she's due. Your periods might be a bit irregular for a while though since your coil was removed, it does take a bit of time for your body to adjust to its normal cycle again. Good luck!
