Propess Pessary Induction

Came in last night at 8.30pm to be induced at 39 weeks due to gestational diabetes.
Had the propess pessary inserted at 11.30pm, cervix was closed and posterior but midwife managed to get pessary in - ouch!
Just looking for any stories of others being induced with propess, understand there is a gel also used in induction but this is my hospitals preferred choice. Its a 24 hr pessary so wont have anything further till 11.30pm tonight x

I had this, mine was put in at 12pm and I started having contractions around 2pm, was taking to labour ward at around 9pm as contractions were really strong and he was born in the morning at 10: 02am xx

So only 2 hours? Lol mines been in for almost 14hrs now and nothing! X

I had one and it did nothing with ds I then went on a drip 24hrs later then labour started
