The creams etc help to reduce the itching but that is all, if you're the type of person to get stretch marks, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you will not prevent them.

If you're one of the lucky ladies who escapes without them then well done you

Awww hon, I know you know it already but you are doing the best job in the World and if I get them I am going to refer to them as my motherhood stripes :) They do go down a little anyway...

xx

I've been using it too, stomach has escaped so far, but my thighs and under my boobs are pretty much covered in them! Like you say, what can you do?? :)

They really dont bother me, i just thought i'd share lol. i have stretch marksaround my belly from when i lost 3 1/2 stone 5 years ago, so i knew i'd get them. they have faded loads now, although the tips are starting to go a little red and stretch up further. the marks of me carrying mine and mikeys baby don't bother me at all, although my scars from my ectopic pregnancy still do (even though they are keyhole and barely noticable)

Totally agree... If your gonna get them, your gonna get them...!!x

Awww bless you hun,

Did you find creaming up any use at all?

I have got into the habit of doing it everyday now so I'll carry on, even though I know I'll most likely end up getting stretch marks anyway!

xxxxxxxxxx

Stretch marks are genetic. You'll either get them or you won't x

Moisturising will help stop your skin from splitting (it happens) but the actual stretch mark is underneath, the skin xxx

not really, lol it does prevent the itching and splitting, so i will continue to do it :) x x

My skin split and it was so so sore! I think I made a thread in tri three about stretch marks bleeding x

sounds awful hun, i thought my ones on my belly would have 5yrs ago, they were so close, if i had ran my nail down them i'm sure they'd have gone!

The ones nearest my belly button were the worst ones! X they're going all silvery now x

I agree they seem to be genetic. I used cocoa butter & Bio Oil and have non but then neither has my sister or mum.

I haven't got any so far but reckon I will prob end up with a few by the end of pregnancy. x

I didn't realise that stretch marks could split!! x
