Im feeling a lot of pressure at the bottom of bump today and am finding it very uncomfortable to move about, we went shopping to asda and I found it very uncomfortable and kept having to stop as it was painful, I also kept getting BH.

Is this normal and what does it mean?
My back has been particularly bad for a few days, very sore but starts up under my bra and goes down, I also find it painful to breathe, I even had to leave the boys out last night as I couldnt walk to get them in, I went to bed before 8pm last night and had to crawl up the stairs as couldnt stand and walk.

I saw my consultant yesterday after my scan to check baby (she is now approx 4.5lbs) but she never checked her position or anything, just my BP ( sonographer said she was head down ) but I already knew that as midwife told me 2 wks ago.

Im 34wks and totally fed up and just want baby out!

It does just get uncomfortable from now on. Have you got a birthing ball to sit/bounce on? X

Bless ya hun. I started using my birthing ball last night and i find it really helps with my aches and pains. It may be worth giving it a go xxx

Unfortunatly its the way things head. You've had a really rough time tho so feel for you. Also I've been mucking out friends stables, 4 daily, and have really noticed its brought on back and hip pain, is there anyone that can help you with the horses? Even just for a few weeks til you're further on and it won't matter that all the work may bring on labour? (which is precisely why I am helping out in the first place, to hopefully induce things!) Xx also try sleeping with pillow between knees and lying on one to help ease pain Xx warm baths etc if poss Xx

Sorry to hear u r in pain now. Maybe get more help with animal tasks If u can as Lettie says. Rest up lady the last 6 weeks are harder on the body and u will def need more rest time. I was in the bath for 2 hours one day to get my back sorted after doing too much- it was lush and really helped

Thanks guys, I guess its just another shitty thing to have to put up with on top of everything else!
I dont have a ball thing and wouldnt have a clue what to do with one.

Lettie, I only have the 2 boys now as I had to have the old girl put down in October, I also dont have anyone that can help me with them, 1 is a 11hh welsh B and such a dirty little git that he is on rubber matting with a sprinkle of shavings ( think normal water bucket size full ) and the whole lot gets chucked out every day, my pride and joy on the other hand is currently 14.2hh coming up 18mth old entire colt, he is arab x appaloosa and is really thin skinned and as he is my future competition horse he has a full thick bed of straw so he doesnt mark his legs though he is pretty clean to muck out, also being a highly strung entire you need to respect him and he isnt used to being handled by anyone else, for me he goes in a headcollar 99% of the time but if he has been stabled day and night ( he is pink skinned so they stay in during the day too if very wet in at night anyway ) for a few days and is fresh he does have a stallion chain that goes across his nose incase he gets above himself.

My mum can lead the pony but has no experience in handling stallions and they would both end up getting hurt, I do have someone lined up to look after them when Im actually having baby but as she has 10 of her own ( breed dales ) she can only do them for a couple of days then I will be out asap as I hate hospitals and Im very funny about how my horses are looked after.

Due to a previous back injury I am unable to have baths as I cant get upright again, the midwifes hate me because I cant lie flat it makes their job harder, I have to have the bed propped up and bend me knees as it puts too much strain on my back.

so sorry your having a hard time, i find walking a challange lately the pressure pains aren't nice, chin up tho sweetie, not long now! :) xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Deviating from the original thread- Sorry to hear about your girl, but Wow your boy sounds fab, can imagine why you're protective over him - what kind of competitions are you hoping to do? I used to have a Welsh section D that have sired a foal before being gelded and he used to think he was still entire - especially when he was towing you out to the field in the morning so can't imagine how you're coping heavily pregnant.
Glad you've got some cover for the actual labour, my friend (who owns the horses) keeps worrying she's going to come home from work to find I've given birth in one of the stable and I just told her Mary managed it so I'll be fine )
In regards to not being able to bath that sucks, have you tried a wheatbag (that you microwave) or a hot water bottle (not to hot) on your back/bump as sometimes that can help ease things? Apart rom that I'm outta ideas but you know we're always here as a shoulder to lean on and rant away - you've really had it tough but you're so close to the finish now and then baby can sit in her pram whilst you do the horses not lying heavily on your hips ) xx

Hi Lettie, to be fair he is really well behaved for a young colt and walks out to the field and back on a headcollar and loose leadrein with his companion in my other hand.
It is him in my profile pic, he is registered 50% arab 50% appaloosa and it was his mum that was put down. My friend breeds appaloosa's her website is www.whirlwindhorses.co.uk, smarties sire is August Skyhawk.

I hope to show jump and event him, he moves really well and has the flair and pizazz of the arab along with the colour and movement of the appaloosa so its a win win really, he has already jumped over 4ft stock/ cattle fencing at 7mths old and cleared it! Him and the pony were hoolying around last winter and he didnt stop in time.
My vet ( equine specialist ) says he is too good to geld and that he should be stood at stud when hes older but we are farmers and not set up for visiting mares and I dont want him hurt and its too much of a liability at shows when stupid people shove mares under stallions noses and expecting them to keep their concentration is not fair, besides hes mine and I dont want to share him with anyone. Are you on facebook?
