Morning girls!
Looking for some ideas for gifts you're getting your lo's for becoming big brothers or sisters?
Someone had posted a while bag about doing a goodie bag so I've got the wee man a card from his little bro/sis, a big brother tshirt, big brother badge and have ordered a book.
He's 5 though and I'm thinking should I get something else or what to do?

He's been fab when we've bought things for the new arrival and with being an only child for so long I was pretty impressed that he didn't ask for things or take the huff when we weren't focusing on him (good practice for what's to come I guess). He's so excited about becoming a big brother so I'd like to make it special for him and make him involved but also to give him something from the new arrival and us because it will be such a change for him!

Any ideas welcome! I'd love to hear what some have done in the past or if they've done nothing and I'm just spending money for the sake of it xx

I think the goody bag you've done sounds lovely. My little brother was born when I was 8, the first time I went into visit him in hospital there was a 'TY beanie baby skunk' in the crib with him that was 'from him to me' - no idea why my parents thought that was a good gift haha but I loved it to bits and still have it. I think it's just the sentiment that 'it's from the baby to his/her big brother' that he will appreciate xxx

I'm also to hear people's ideas, as my little girl will be 21months pg when baby arrives

I just wasn't sure if it was enough! I know my parents and in laws are going to get him something also so I suppose there's no point in buying things for the sake of it and at least the goodie bag is appropriate to what's happening of that makes sense!
Love that you've still got your TY beanie Summer!! Our lb had bought the baby a teddy and he put it into the hospital and everything! So cute! Xx

Really good thread hun, I was wondering about this too! Absolutely clueless as to whether to get LO something.

We bought dd a scooter and a jigsaw. She was 2yrs 5 months. My thought behind it was, something for inside to occupy her and something for outside so we could take baby for walks. The big sister t-shirt was a hit too!

I have 5 kids but only two are little- 4.5 years old has got a triceratops dinosaur and 20 mth old has a set of 5 little metal eddie stobart trucks ( truck mad). They are wrapped and in my wardrobe ready. Id take them in but using public transport so traveling light. Hubby will grab them and bring in from baby. Will get the boys to choose something for baby and wrap nearer time so they can give to baby ( first hosp cot toy etc) which we keep in special box then for baby.

Stickers etc always go down well to give dad 10 mins with baby before they leave and time for mum with lo ( esp if ypu stay in a bit)

I got these little bears in a bag which said 'to my big sister', 'to my big brother' on for my 2 when I had my 3rd :) I had them in her bouncy chair when big bro and sis came back from Nanny's after the birth :)

Kumber it's a bit of a minefield! I've searched Amazon and eBay for the last while for ideas!
Mrs M love the indoor and outdoor idea!!
Oh JJ hadn't thought about the wrapping of it lol! Thanks! Also I've put the teddy that he's picked for baby into the baby's bag, I'll maybe take it out and let him bring it to the hospital when he's coming!
Iwant3 just had a nosey for a bear there! They are so cute!! Might get a small 1 for the goody bag :)!! Xx
