Pregnant before period returned

Just curious, for those who have already had a baby and then breastfed, did anyone conceive again before their period returned?

A friend did. She was waiting for period to return after six months breast feeding to go onto pill and AF never came....

Her DD1 was born mid January 2013 and DD2 was born early April 2014, only 14 months apart.

Yes but it was the month after I'd stopped feeding, so was ntnp for ages while bf-ing and no periods even though down to just one feed in the evening. The month we stopped completely was the month I conceived. Fuck knows how because we hardly dtd and it took us 15 months with #1. But I did have to stop the feeding for anything to happen. Xx

I was still breastfeeding when I got pregnant ("baby" was two and half!!) But my periods had returned when she was 18m.
