pregnancy cramping / pains?

ok, so i kno this may sound really crazy to you...

but here goes....

after going to a parenting class yesterday they kept on about signs of being in labour, such as period pains n cramping etc..

but i have never experienced period pains... ever in my life, i have ALLWAYS suffered from MAJORLY heavy periods, like literally not being able to move of the loo for a few hours cos i just flood through any super super plus tampons n pads, (sorry tmi) but never cramping or pains etc that are associated with it, so can anyone give me some ideas of what to expect?

i have had sometimes a mild backache with my period but nothing bad,

last couple of days i have had really bad backache, iv been using a wheat bag thingy that goes in the microwave for heat on my back, im guessing its baby wiggling in my cervix cos im gettin sharp pains there too,

but any ideas what cramping or aching period pains are like would be great,

iv been getting mild cramps and twinges for a week now its like getting the mild ache u get in your back across lower tummy i also get shooting pains as well i thought i had a wee infec but i didnt x i totally understand where ur coming from tho i have horrendous periods for bleeding and pain and am worried im so used to the pain i might discount being in early labour because it dont hurt enough

i would say its a sharp pain in your lower tummy and in my case i always had periodpain more in my lower back and bum really.. but thats a heavy ache more then sharp pain..

I don't know how to describe period pains! Their like a dull ache but when your in labour, the pains alot worse than that! Your def know when your in labour though!! x x

I always know when I have period pains as it is different to stomach aches and cramps when u need the loo IYKWIM.

Lower back ache I am getting now which I always got when I had period pain but when u get the cramps I think u should know even if you have never experienced them before as it is a different type of painn

i remember my mates at school saying i was so lucky i didnt get pains, but im like its not my fault!! lol,

i think im gona be wondering about every little pain from now on, just it case, lol

im sure il know when im in labour and ready to have the little one, but i just felt so stupid when every1 was participating about period pains n labour conversation yesterday besides me, lol
