I'm reading What to expect when you're expecting by Heidi Murkoff, bought it in the shop but it's way cheaper on Amazon ! I really like it..it's very informative and very easy reading too .

Hi Spinney, not sure about England, but in Scotland the nhs give out a free book to first time parents, we get this book called Ready Steady Baby. I think i read somewhere that there is a book in England too. I would ask your GP :-). My book is really modern and very helpful, covers everything! even after the birth! :-) xxx

I have two week by week books, one is sort of light hearted and jokey and the other is sort of matter of fact and to the point. Although i really recommend a book from a mans perspective for your OH. My boyfriend got himself one and he is now so clued up it frightens me! lol

i have read loads of them - you can get some good ones quite cheap from Asda. The mopst recent one ive read is called the fat ladies club, its written by a group of women that met in antenatal classes and its a real account of their experiences and funny stories all the way through pregnancy and early motherhood - its a great read! x
