Anyone else suffering from this?

My knees hurt sooooo much!! Sitting down- ouch! Standing up- ouch! Stairs- ouch! Kneeling down- ouch! And once I've knelt down, my knees feel so weak, i worry i wont be able to get back up again! I have to pull myself up using the sofa, table or whatever is nearest! They ache if i leave them in the same position for too long and are very clicky, the right one in particular. Seeing the gp on Thursday, so hopefully she'll be able to shed some light.

My knees are exactly the same! I feel like an old lady!

I just hope I don't have to stop my dog agility training. I've been doing it for years and rarely miss a week. Only missed 3 weeks to have Cam and was still going at a week overdue! Needless to say i had slowed down alot by then!! It doesnt hurt when i run though so i hope gp will say its still ok.

Yes I have this! My knees are the worst but I get it in my hips and wrists as well. What causes it? X

I googled and it mentions that the hormone relaxin may have something to do with it combined with the extra weight and strain in pregnancy. Bloody hurts!!!!

Strange as I never had anything like this in pregnancy and it only seems that I've had it the last 6/7 weeks?
Hope your gp appointment goes well - please update us! X

I had no problems when i was preggers either, its only since i gave birth. I'm seeing gp Thursday, so i shall let you know what she says.

I have bad joint pain now. Some days I feel I can't even get off the sofa. It's really annoying. It's always really bad on a morning too.

How old is your LO Torino? I'm hoping it doesn't last long as its painful to walk sometimes!

She's 6 and a half months

I should really go to the doctors but its a hassle. (Bad attitude I know). I don't want the lose weight lecture

It's strange because I don't have it every day. It's random really.

6 1/2 months!! You poor thing!!

Mine is worse first thing in the morning too.

My right knee has been killing me all day!!

I also have this, although mine is in my fingers and calves and started when I was about 7 months pregnant.
My legs arent too bad during the day, but when I first get up in the morning they are so stiff, I feel like a 90 year old, lol!
From what I've read light exercise is good for it and it can take up to a year to go away completely. Heres hoping our symptoms disappear quicker than that.

I have really bad knees and ankles which only started after I'd given birth. I was at the docs last week and since Fin's 21 weeks now he decided to do some blood tests for thyroid and arthritis xx

Iv had sore knee's since giving birth. I had no idea it was a common thing. Really achey. I just thought it was because I was bending down. I struggled to get off the couch sometimes...
Can the GP do anything about it???x

I have painful knees, back, hips and pelvis from having lo. I'm now under physio for pelvic girdle pain (basically spd) and loose ligaments and hyper mobility in my knees. I'm still in pain everyday and will most probably suffer in future pregnancy. Lo is a year old on Saturday!

Oh dear I'm not optimistic about this pain going anytime soon!
Thanks for highlighting the issue though Emily - I think I would of carried on just thinking its one of those things.

It seems to affect quite a few people doesn't it?

Hope that my GP can help, as I don't fancy this pain for too much longer!

My SPD was fine after giving birth, that went away no problem, but I feel like I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome which hasn't gone away. When I was pregnant I put it down to swelling in my fingers but now they're the normal size and they still hurt. I get bad wrists too. I think it is all to do with hormones :(

My spd disappeared immediately, but my carpal tunnel is still there :-( I can't move my fingers when I first wake up  I also have a very weak grip

My knees are my biggest problem, I have to walk down the stairs like John Wayne!
