Postpartum Joint Pain

Doc said the pain is normal as your joints and ligaments loosen up in pregnancy. She told me to sit in a chair and lift my leg up straight out infront of me and hold for 10 secs. Its to strengthen the quad muscles which will help with the ligaments in the knee apparantly.

That's one of the exercises I have to do. Try some resistance exercises too. Probs some on YouTube. They're good for your quads.

Ive been getting really bad pain in my wrists and hands, especially my left one! Also my getting alot of pelvic pain and sciatica pain, especially when i get out of bed. I was so hoping that my body would get back to 'normal'. Its reassuring to know that it could all just be because of having a baby but will definitely run it by the gp at my 6 week check up.

My SPD was fine after giving birth, that went away no problem, but I feel like I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome which hasn't gone away. When I was pregnant I put it down to swelling in my fingers but now they're the normal size and they still hurt. I get bad wrists too. I think it is all to do with hormones :(

My spd disappeared immediately, but my carpal tunnel is still there :-( I can't move my fingers when I first wake up  I also have a very weak grip

My knees are my biggest problem, I have to walk down the stairs like John Wayne!

We just seem to have identical joint problems tweety! xx
