Hi, guys...
Well I ordered OPKs from ebay, and they came today. I wanted to make sure they worked etc, was only expecting one line obviously, but after about 10 seconds the second line started to appear. So now im just really confused... Am I ovulating early or is the test wrong, ive never used these before.
Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know whats going on?
Thanks.

Opks can be confusing - it only counts as a positive if the second 'rear' line is equal or darker in colour than the control line. So a positive is 2 strong coloured lines.

It's negative on your photo as the second line is only faint. I usually have a faint line right up to OV x

Oh, aha. When it came up, i was like what on earth. Thanks!

I did another one today, ov is around the 4th - 11th (i think according to period apps). but there was no line at all this time? Im really confused! I don't understand this at all.

I tried those things for 3 months while I was ttc. Never got a positive result despite having fairly regular periods. I began to wonder if I ever actually ovulated, got really down about it.

Well, I must have ovulated at least once since then because I'm pregnant now.

I'm not sure how accurate they are. Personally for us - ignoring the calendar, going completely test (and therefore stress) free, and following our urges instead did the trick.

Tonight, I've been getting lower pain, which I think is ov pain, gonna do 2 ov tests tomorrow morning and evening and see....

If you have already felt ov pain you many not see a positive opk as your LH surge may have gone when you ovd. Some ladies have high levels right from ov to AF but others only see the positive right before ov and then the levels drop again. It is totally normal for your level to fluctuate all through your cycle and resulting in what appear to be strange results of faint lines coming and going.

I used a couple of cycles to try opks at different times of day etc to work out what the best time of day for testing for me was (mine turned out to be between 4-6pm). Might be worth you doing that for your whole cycle and see what works for you.

Been doing tests twice a day, at diff times, the 1st is usually with first pee of the day. Yesterday had a darker one then normal, but not as dark as the other line...didn't have chance to do another yesterday, so i did one this morning and literally nothing on there...im not supposed to ov till 4th (today) - 11th. Maybe it was a day early but, i missed it then i dtd on the 1st and on the 4th (today).. So its probably a low chance of conceiving this month, isn't there? :/

Opks shouldn't be done with fmu.

They are best done later in the day.

I usually try and do mine between 5 & 6 when I get home from work and I try not to drink or pee from 2.30.

However, I got this one this afternoon after less than an hour's hold!

Keep testing hun, you may not have missed it yet.

Good luck!
