positive opk after ovualtion

Hi girls,

I think I should be around 5dpo, new opks arrived in the post and I used one ( as us poas addicts do) anyway it can back a very strong positive does this mean I haven't ov yet? I'm starting to worry now as me and the oh haven't bd the last 3 days as he's been poorly.

ov tests are confusing - when you get a positive it means the surge has been detected, it doesn't mean you have ovulated/will ovulate - sometimes the surge that makes your body ovulate happens, but for some reason no egg is release, therefore your body will have another surge later in the cycle -sometimes only after a few days from the last - this could be what happened. If you had a positive last 5-6 days ago you may not have O'd then, but your having a 2nd surge now.

Ov tests also show positive when you are pregnant, but shouldn't be able to detect anything when you are only 4/5dpo = more like 10dpo+ at least
