Poor Hebe

well she's just off in an ambulance with keith to a&e.....

she's been admitted to children's ward and they are 100% its not asthma. At least she's getting looked at I suppose.

oh darling i really hope all is ok? bless her and you its so worrying when they are poorly :( Freds got a bloody awful cough at the minute and coughs so much he is sick, just cleared up another batch, on the phone at 8am sharp to the the docs xxx

be thinking of you all xxx hope little Sid is doing ok too x

Aw no way! Poor Hebe! And poor you! It must be so distressing seeing her like that! x x I hope they finally do something! Doctors, especially gp's are so quick to dismiss childrens illnesses, my friend has a 6 month old son. She was told he gad a viral cold and nothing could be done and then two weeks later she went back (she didn't dare go back any sooner as the doctor treated her like she was wasting their time) and it turns out he has broncholitis (sp)!!!! Keep us updated honey!

OH has just rung.

The Dr has said 3 things:

It could be a rare viral cough which can take 6 months to go - they will test for this

It may well still be asthma but her medication (salbutomol) isnt strong enough and she might need the brown steroid inhaler to use every day :(

Her ears and throat / airway are inflamed so she wants a different specialist to look at that - that will be this afternoon.

So they are in a room on their own and it's got toys and books and CBeebies to watch. She can stand in the cot and see right out the front windows of the hospital so OH said she's enjoying shouting at everyone outside. The nurses have found some nappies for her and they seem ok. OH is running on empty and I feel like I should be there but I just cant be. They gave him a 'continental' breakfast which he said the continent must have been Sub-Saharan Africa it was that measly!

oh hun have just seen ur FB, how awful, at least she is getting looked at now I guess

Oh poor OH hospital food for parents/visitors sucks!!!! I hope shell be ok and they'll finally get you guys the answers you need! x x x x x biggest hugs for you all x x x x x

 Oh so sorry to be reading this :( I can't believe that they didn't do anything for so long (what a crock of....) Hoping that Hebe's doing better, lovely, and that they find out what's wrong - and help her!

hi hun, sorry i've only just seen this. hope everything is okay...big hugs to you...xxx

Lisa, only just seen that Heebs has been in hospital. Hope she's ok and feeling a little better today and hope you get some answers on what's going on with her chest. Poor thing, I really feel for her. I have always suffered with my chest and now Kian is asthmatic aswell. Luckily, Noo is ok at the moment so don't need to add anything else to her long list of ailments.

Do you or Keith have chest problems? Chest problems seem to run in my mum's side of the family.

What sort of night had lil Hebe hun?

Oh no poor little thing. I've only just seen this, just wanted to send some hugs and say I hope she's ok :hug:xx

She's her chirpy self today after a better sleep - she woke coughing at about 2am which is the norm and then went back off after some calpol to help with her snotty nose. She's wheezy still and coughing but not as much. she took her new medicine (Singulair) but we were told it might take a while to start to work.

A few people have mentioned teething triggering chest problems.....now she's never teethed as such - obviously her teeth come through but she rarely shows any signs so I cant really tie the coughing to it because mostly the first I knew about her teething was a new tooth biting me! She only has 2 teeth left to come through so if they start now then maybe there's something in it.......
