When?

When will my heart stop hurting?
For the one I held inside?
The one who changed my world around,
The one who didn’t hide.

The one who I felt growing,
For my poppy seed of joy,
The one I’ll love forever,
My little girl or boy.

When will it end this numbness?
Or the tears that wet my eyes,
O little one who watches from
Your place within the skies.

I wish that you were with me,
To hold within my arms,
To watch you grow and smile
And fall for Daddies charms.

But that will never happen
You’ve joined you siblings two,
And now I must be stronger
And start my life anew.
